Let me begin by thanking Mother Nature for her gift of Ligero. Ligero is the top priming of the tobacco plant and it is dark, full-bodied and spicy. The fact that it is harvested from the top of the plant leaves the leaf vulnerable to excessive sun exposure, in turn, producing one of the strongest tobacco leaves known to man.
Last night I had the pleasure of smoking one of my favorite cigars in the world. I had the big girl, the Double Ligero 6.5 x 60, otherwise known as the DL700. Catching up with this elusive cigar is tougher than scoring with a super model. It is usually sold out at my local cigar shops and backordered at my favorite online retailers. I was hesitant to write this review because I know it will be even harder to come by after I lure you in.
I told you what Ligero is and the potent punch it delivers. Imagine Double Ligero. That’s like experiencing an earth shattering orgasm from the young, hot barista you have been eyeing at your favorite coffee shop. Actually, the La flor Dominicana DL700 is better because you can actually wrap your lips around this beauty.
This Latina flaunts a dark, oily Ecuadorian Maduro flesh that cloaks her aromatic Dominican Ligero long-fillers with perfection. It maintains a razor sharp burn throughout the smoke and the ash usually holds on for the entire first half of the experience. I like to have cigars face off with each other in a head to head competition to see which cigar can hold its ash longer. I am pretty sure the La flor Dominicana is the undisputed champion. This cigar generates a massive amount of smoke that will engulf you in a cloud of euphoria as you bask in her aroma.
Hands down, the La flor Dominicana must be invited to every Ultimate Cigar Party on earth because the taste is out of this world. She is full of rich, complex flavors that will bring you Ultimate pleasures and the overdose of vitamin N (nicotine) will bring you to your knees. I am a very experienced cigar smoker and yet the first time I tried this cigar my arms and hands were shaking from the firepower provided by the vitamin N. This cigar is believed to be the strongest cigar on the market and almost every hardcore smoker drips with desire every time he is presented with one of these rare jewels.
This cigar must be smoked slowly and not on an empty stomach. It usually takes me about an hour and a half to smoke this baby. Plus, you will want to smoke her slowly to savor every last tast
e she offers you.
I like to pair the La flor Dominicana DL 700 with a robust stout beer, especially the Terrapin Wake ‘N’ Bake Coffee Oatmeal Imperial Stout, but any stout will do.
