Alec Bradley American Sun Grown

I first discovered the American Sun Grown at a cigar tasting event that Alec Bradley hosted here in the great Garden State. I have fallen in love with these Nicaraguan puros ever since that fateful night.

Let me begin by telling you that this stick is alluring. A stunning, oily sun-grown habano wrapper from the Jalapa region in Nicaragua envelopes a perfect blend of aged Nicaraguan Esteli long-fillers like yoga pants on Jen Selter. This medium to full bodied leaf emits a hearty, rich character that provides a smooth smoking experience that will satisfy most of your cravings. Good luck bagging the rump in yoga pants.

This cigar maintained its smooth, rich flavor throughout the smoke. During the burn, pleasant cedar aromas lead to a sweet flavor of bliss. The ash is a dark grey that holds up well while the draw is perfect without bite or bitterness. Like most cigars, it got a bit stronger at the nub, but it tasted so good I smoked it until my fingers caught fire. You will find that this cigar’s robust flavor is perfect. You won’t feel overpowering strength like you will when your lil’ lady kicks you in the balls after she catches you staring at Selter’s ass. It hurts, but trust me the ass is worth a week of pain.

Even though I am too young to have enjoyed the simple life of the 1950s, timeless stories told to me by my father make me wish I did. Thanks to Alan Rubin, the creator of the American Sun Grown, I can now taste what New Jersey’s mobsters smoked during their secret meetings and backroom poker games because this stogie was inspired by the simple and satisfying cigars of that time.

This stogie is quite simply a pleasurable smoke. Alec Bradley nailed her with this blend, a high level of quality at a very affordable price.

Pair this stogie with Founder’s All Day IPA – Session Ale for the perfect compliment.
